I ordered some hair extensions and noticed they sent me the wrong color. They said i had to return within 14 days.

My Mother passed away, and so I am at about 17 days due to travel. So the gal said so sorry but since it's been a couple of days past due we will need to keep 20 percent re4stocking fee???

I said, what's that? She replied, " we need to take the hair out of the package and examine it"

IDONT EVEN it!" Its 10 little peices of hair

I purchased 2 - 22in bulk 1b hair for braiding. My stylist in the middle of beginning to braid my hair went through the 2 bundles to realize that there was lice in majority of the hair.

I immediately contacted Perfectlocks where Stephanie viewed my message but did not respond. I had to purchase hair from my stylist to finish my braids. I contacted perfectlocks again stating I noticed they reviewed my msg and I expected a call back. They contacted me back to say that they can only give me 20% off the next purchase.

20%? They have the photos... I highly recommend to NOT use Perfect locks.

I understand things happen... but their lack of consideration and customer service is horrible.

Horrible curly hair

Perfect Locks - Horrible curly hair
Perfect Locks - Horrible curly hair - Image 2

This hair does not hold moisture. Within an hour of being washed, conditioned, using leave-in conditioner, curl enhancer, mongongoil, I look and feel like a wooly sheep with dreadlocks.

The hair mats up and is nothing but a snarl.

I paid nearly $800 for the hair, then had to spend another $200+ for products and I can’t go out in public with this mass of frizz.

Their customer service is crap. My poor stylist is at her wits end with these people.

Photos attached are after 1 wash installed with one section I attempted to round brush

Original review Aug 13, 2019

The wavy bundled wefts looked fine when bundled together. (The warranty is void if the zip ties are taken off the bundle) once I pulled the wavy hair out of the bundle it was noticeable thin.

I’m not new to hair extensions so this can be the case with textured extensions. I am a professional hair dresser and cannot get this hair to style. After the first wash installed in my head the hair is so dry and will not take to a round brush to smooth it out. I emailed customer service where they told me to wet and scrunch the hair with product and that it is not suggested to round brush the hair.

So you mean to tell me I cannot style this hair!?

Customer service also offered no suggestions to help come to a solution to this issue. This company is awful their hair is awful and their service is awful.

Perfect Locks - Very expensive. Bad hair

You get what you paid for.....not the case in this situation.

This hair is not pure virgin hair. The curly bulk hair mats and tangles terribly when wet.

Spent over $1000 with this company.. I’ve purchased hair for over 20 years and this is the worst curly bulk hair

I have ever purchased.

Terrible Quality

Perfect Locks - Terrible Quality

I purchased 4 packs of hair extensions and a professional membership from perfect locks on June 4th, 2018 in the amount of $437.61. After installing 3 of the 4 packs of hair extensions on my client on June 15th, 2018, she returned just over a week later to have them removed due to the hair discoloring from blonde to orange.

My client has been getting hair extensions from me for years, and we have never had this problem before with other hair extension brands. I contacted Perfect Locks on June 27th, 2018 via phone and e-mail to explain the problem, and they requested I return the 4 packs of hair extensions so they could examine them to see what went wrong. I returned the extensions to Perfect Locks on 7/2/2018 using the shipping label they provided me. In the meantime, I had to purchase new hair extensions from my previous local supplier, and install new hair extensions on my client which cost me $325 for the new hair extensions and $200 for my labor, all of which I had to comp the client.

A representative with Perfect Locks contacted me via phone on July 12th, 2018 and told me that upon their examination of the hair I had returned to them, they had concurred that they had sent me an old batch of hair and would resend me 3 new packs of hair and only refund me for the 1 unused and unopened pack of hair. I told them that I would not accept their offer since I had already lost $525 for my labor and the purchase of new hair extensions to fix the problem they had caused. I explained that I expected a full refund for the defective hair extensions that I had returned to them and the membership fee.

The representative then told me she would discuss the issue with her manager and get back to me. I have not heard back from them and I am now in the process of trying to complete a charge-back with my bank.

Quality is inconsistent. Customer services is unsympathetic.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have purchased hair from Perfect Locks for several years (straight and curly Indian Remy). The quality of the hair is inconsistent.

Sometimes you get a great batch and sometimes you get a batch that tangles and sheds. I continue to purchase the hair despite the inconsistencies because I haven't found another company with the curl pattern that I like as much as Perfect Locks. Despite the inconsistencies, I have been able to re-use the hair for multiple installs making it worth the occasional bad batch. The closures are another matter entirely.

I have had nothing but terrible experiences with the closures (both lace and silk). I have never had a closure from Perfect Locks that lasted for more than one install (which I do every two months). Midway through the second install, the closures shed so much that I've have to resort to drastic measures (sharpies, adding weft pieces into the closure) to avoid looking like I have alopecia. They also become extremely dry and straw-like, looking terrible.

It has been so bad that I've had to replace the closures between installs. When I've called the company to complain, they say that I must not be caring for the hair properly. Even after following all their instructions, the results have been the same. They are largely unsympathetic about complaints and offer no remedy.

I no longer purchase closures from them, but it has been a long process to find a good quality closure with matching texture.

I have finally found a company that has a closure that seems to be constructed well, is less expensive and matches the texture of the Perfect Locks curly wefts. I'm nearing the end of the first month and so far am very happy with it.

THIS IS DISGUSTING!!1

I just received my order of an 18" wavy hair chocolate brown beaded weft and upon inspecting the weft I found lice on it. I was so disgusted, I called the company immediately.

I am getting my money back and NEVER ordering from them. Maya the representative that answered the phone was like this tends to happen because they are real hair and they are dead because the hair has been treated and colored. That is besides the point. That should NEVER be the case.

SO DISGUSTING!!!

I read the reviews on here and if it wasn't for these review on read on here about her finding lice on her extensions I would have not inspected them as I did. I am so GROSSED out right not.

Perfect Locks Virgin Remy Indian Hair Review from Spanaway, Washington

This company is a fraud there virgin remy hair is not virgin at all. Any hair dresser knows virgin hair can be colored and I was unable to color this hair.

As an added bonus it also had lice eggs all throughout the extensions. I called and asked for new hair so I wasn't out $200 but they offered to pick the eggs out for me and send it back. It's just disgusting!

I can't sell this hair to my client now. The only thing I can do is throw it away because it's a health hazard!

Perfect locks hair is awful quality

I bought the curly clip in extensions. for $270..the hair is SO RATTY and FRIZZY, I've never seen or felt hair like this?

it wont stay curled or straightened. I read good reviews before purchasing, I'm not sure if some people get lucky? but this hair is unmanageable and I didn't want to attempt taking it back so I tried working with it but its just a ratty mess.

The lady called and said she would give me some tips on how to deal with the frizz, etc. uh no thanks but you can have my money for no reason

Glam Seamless is awsome as well. The only reason I didn’t purchase for the 3rd time is because the West is ridged and plastic. I believe they were going to change that.

Guest

I feel the same. I purchased the curly tape ins and over the course of a month they are unmanageable.

I do not use heat and condition. I don’t believe this is real hair.

PERFECT LOCKS is A PERFECT LIE!!!

PERFECT LOCKS is A PERFECT LIE!!!

I had this hair installed Saturday 3/17/2012 and it looks so bad that I am taking it out as soon as possible. First of all I am highly upset and disappointed with this hair, which is described as "true virgin Indian hair" which is a blatant lie!

This hair is horrible, the ends of the hair was matted frayed, thin and raggedy. The length was shorter than what I ordered. There was some kind of residue on the hair that felt like soap ***. The curl pattern is weak and stringy, therefore the hair tangles and mattes very easily.

I am outraged that Perfect Locks is robbing people out of their hard earned money. I have had Virgin Indian hair before so I know what it looks & feels like! This hair is complete garbage, this so called "true virgin Indian hair" is worth no more that $20 and that's being generous. I have found numerous complains, with customers having the exact same problems, also found complaints through the BBB.

I am convinced that the people who gave them "Good Reviews" were paid to do so or that the "good reviews" were written by people affiliated with the company. I have been bamboozled, robbed out of $340 and given garbage in exchange, to say this hair is inferior would be an understatement. This is like ordering filet Mignon form a menu and they bring you a plate of mystery meat instead. Not only am I out of the money I used to buy the hair, I am also out of the money I used to have it installed.

I am flabbergasted and angered by the fact that there are unethical businesses like Perfect Locks with not an ounce of integrity that are stealing from people. This is utterly ridiculous!

Wait- how does a person have hair installed? Why on earth would you buy some poor virgin girl from India's hair? And why does the woman in the photo look AA but desires Indian locks?

What is going on here?!?!?!?!

Much of the hair sold from India is sourced from Temples that shave women's heads for religious purposes - to purify the shavee. This is done free of charge and the Temples allow buyers to collect the hair and sell it to women online and in stores.

I used perfect locks. My first order which was 27' and a 28' curly hair.

It shed a lot but i thought it was me. Cause I really didn't take care of it. I later order a 20' and a 21'inch and I was shock that the length was super longer. But the hair was stink.

It had a hard scummy feeling. When I wash the hair it seem as if the hair was dye black. I call and talk to someone name Monica!(I think that's her name) she offer me a discount on my next purchase!!

I couldn't send the hair back because i spend 170 to install. And I didn't want to lose out on my money!!

Guest

No offense, but you didn't even mention how the company dealt with the situation, how can you be credible?

Guest

That doesn't make the consumer not credible. Where did you get that information.

Actually it is a very rude statement.

This person expressed her bad experience. That is appreciated!!!

Guest

I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience. Now, I'm nervous to reorder.

I had great results with my first order from Perfect Locks. Everyone thought it was my natural hair and used and reused the hair from August of 2011 thru March 2012.

Perfect locks are horrible !!!

I ordered colored Indian Hair from their new splash collection. For the first week, the hair seemed great.

However, as of now the hair is frizzy, tangled, and I'm shedding like a dog. VERY dissapointed. I've spent way less on hair and it had better quality. I'm highly upset.

What a waste of time and money. I wish there was more than I can do. I plan on doing a deep condition of the hair tonight. Hopefully this will help.

Perfect locks has the perfect false advertisement.

I wrote a bad review on their website and ofcourse they didn't post it. SCAM!

It is important to note that the install and treatment of the hair does matter as the company says. You really have to wash it and condition it and with shampoo that does not have alcohol or sulfates. And if it is cut during the install, it will impact shedding. I am sincerly a customer who has purchased the wavy virgin hair and have five months of wear with no tangling over 3 different installations. I just bought a second set with longer length and the quality looks as good as the first. The hair seems to get better every time I wash it. Just beautiful and no tangling.

Sincerley,

Happy Customer of Perfect Locks.

Perfect Locks is the best Indian Hair I have ever installed

I have no clue what type of hair you women are use to but I have tried so called Human, Remy and Indian hair. I have wasted lots of money on hair.

NO hair I have used compare to Perfects Locks Hair. Yes it comes in a zip lock bag (so what)I have purchased Indian hair for years that comes that way. Its about the quality of the hair not the packaging. The hair may vary in length, color, texture and even have split ends.

It is actually human hair not all our hair is the same. Its natural hair not treated with chemicals. Any PROFFESSIONAL Hairstylist would love to work with this hair. The anonymous person hairstylist must have never worked with quality hair.

I myself is a LICENSED Cosmetologist and my clientele consist of all ethnicity's so I really can appreciate the quality of hair. I have NOTHING to do with Perfect Locks, just a very satisfied customer!
